2004 GLOBAL PORTLAND FESTIVAL

In 2004, over 3,000 people came together to celebrate the
diverse communities of Portland as they united for a one-day
event titled "The Global Portland Festival: Hope Begins when
Fear Ends." More than one hundred volunteers representing
Portland’s diverse cultures and communities organized Global
Portland. Dozens of multicultural organizations joined the Center
and the PSU Multicultural Center to co-sponsor the event.
Planning is now underway for the 2005 Global Portland
Festival! To join one of our planning committees, please
contact Global Portland Festival Chair Mary Prottsman
at mary@interculturalorganizing.org.
