have a gala banquet and auction, Chinese style. Other services
include language classes, a translation a referral service
for language tutors, interpreters and translators, and workshops
to develop basic "survival skills" necessary for
success in China trade and China travel. For more information

Taiko
Asian American Drum Performance
Portland Taiko’s aspiration is to create taiko performance
of the highest artistic quality to touch this universal place
in all of us and to provide a strong and beautiful voice for

to delineate the boundaries of the village, scare away invading
armies and pests in the rice fields, aid meditation in religious
ceremonies, and call the community together in times of both
crisis and celebration. Today, Portland Taiko continues to
call over 50,000 people a year together with its innovative
