Get Involved in the Portland Plan

Through Mid-2011, CIO will be working with Portland’s Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) to provide critical community input on the new Portland Plan. A stakeholder advisory group of community members, CIO staff and board members, and BPS liaisons will study reports and drafts from the planning process and provide constructive feedback to ensure that Portland’s vision serves all Portlanders equitably.

City of Portland Organizing

CIO is partnering with a large coalition of organizations to maintain Voter-Owner Elections, ensuring that Portland’s elections system remains transparent, responsive to the needs of the community, and equitable for all Portlanders. This will involve a coordinated effort to mobilize community members, engaging them in traditional canvassing and phone-banking, and developing sustainable capacity for future issue-advocacy.
