Beaverton

CIO is undertaking a community-based research study identifying challenges and opportunities for Beaverton’s immigrant and refugee populations. Results of this survey will be shared with the Mayor, City Council, other elected officials, the media and community members. Immigrants and refugees are invited to fill out this survey to help move toward a richer understanding of issues confronting the community.

Launched in 2010, the PRISM Project – CIO’s organizing effort in Beaverton – will result in reduced linguistic and cultural isolation, increased immigrant and refugee representation in local government decision-making, a greater number of visible multicultural spaces, and a strongly-knit community with the common vision to sustain lasting change.
