Stand Together to End ProfilingJoin Our Statewide Campaign
On Wednesday, March 25th the House Business and Labor Committee will be hearing testimony on HB 3025, Ban the Box legislation. HB 3025 gives Oregonians who’ve served their time a fair chance at earning a paycheck. Join us in Salem to show that every Oregonian deserves a fair chance!
Join the statewide End Profiling Coalition and attend or submit your testimony to the House Judiciary hearing on House Bill 2002. The hearing takes place Monday, March 30th from 3:00-5:00 PM at the Oregon State Capitol building in room 343! We will be in solidarity with our community giving testimony in support of an end to law enforcement profiling.
CIO End Profiling Coalition members publish Op-Ed. Ricardo Lujan is a board member of Oregon Action. Erica Franks is a member of the Black Student Union at Southern Oregon University.
Oregon is home to over 6,000 businesses owned and operated by immigrants and refugees. These businesses represent nearly 10% of the state’s economy, and they deserve more visibility. CIO is planning to provide that visibility through creating an online portal of immigrant and refugee businesses, which will offer readers stories about the people behind the scenes—where we came from, our histories, our hopes and dreams. Help promote your favorite immigrant and refugee owned business!
